Vintage Cellar Hands 2026

Poulter Family Wines is a proud, family-owned, New Zealand wine business with vineyards in Hawke’s Bay and Martinborough with trusted contract growers across the country.

In 2021, we acquired the Sacred Hill Hawke’s Bay winery and its iconic Rifleman’s and Deerstalkers vineyards, launching our entry into the premium wine category under the historic Sacred Hill brand. We produce a diverse portfolio of wines for both domestic and global wine markets.

We are on the hunt for 2026 Vintage Cellar Hand superstars to join our Hawkes Bay winery team! 

Dependable, hard-working and focused people will do well here. If you are process-driven, motivated and practical, you will be perfect for this role. All training will be provided. We do ask that you are physically fit, reliable, and have a willingness to learn. 

Our vintage staff will be employed by February for induction training. Harvest typically starts mid-February and is completed by mid-May.

We start vintage working 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week, and gradually build up to 12-hour shifts, 6 days a week, with the winery operating 7 days a week during peak harvest. Depending how the vintage goes, it is possible that we will ask some members of the crew to stay on for an extended period.
