Vineyard Operator/Manager

Love vines and growing grapes? Have a passion for viticulture? Want to work outdoors in an amazing setting? We’re on the hunt for a vineyard operator/manager to help us manage 3 Ha of vines just off Gordons Road, Whakanewha, Waiheke.

Your role will be to co-ordinate and complete all the tasks throughout the growing season, taking ownership of the operation and treating it like it’s your own vineyard. We have a desire to make high quality wines and our small team is excited and committed to excellence in everything we do.

This is a practical, hands-on role for someone with significant viticulture experience who has operated in vineyards.

This is a flexible, wide ranging hands-on role with a variety of tasks:

• Training, leaf plucking, tucking and trimming

• Spraying / manage and implement spray plan

• Netting

• Picking

• Mowing and weed-eating

• Wire lifting

• Fixing wires and vineyard maintenance

• Tractor work

• Pruning and mulching

• Supervision of seasonal workers

• Record keeping

• Vineyard H&S

• Submitting spray diaries to SWNZ

• A Growsafe certificate is advantageous, but comprehensive training will be provided.
