Be part of a small team making a range of wines, including commercial quantities and smaller premium wines.
Mount Brown Estates is a family-owned, premium winery in Waipara, North Canterbury producing an award-winning range of wines including Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Chardonnay, Rose and Syrah. Our single estate vineyard covers 36 ha processing about 300T of grapes in our own winery.
We are seeking an experienced Vintage Cellar Hand for 2026, beginning early March, for 3-4 months.
The role offers diverse experience in dealing with large commercial quantities along with smaller parcels of premium wine.
The successful candidate must:
have worked through at least three vintages
be hands-on and hard-working, with a willingness to work the long hours that vintage requires
have a broad knowledge of all winery operations and equipment
have a current driver's licence and ideally a forklift license
be eligible to work in New Zealand
The breadth of winemaking, diversity and working in a small team with the resulting chance to develop your skills, make this an excellent chance to further develop your winemaking career, particularly in relation to small premium parcels.
You'll be part of a small team, so a willingness to work had and have some fun at the same time are essential.
