Type:Full-time
Closes:13 April 2026

The Landing Wines is located in the Bay of Islands, and is a boutique, sustainably managed vineyard and acclaimed winery producing award-winning, small-batch wines. The vineyard, first established in 2007 and recently expanded to a total planted area of 13.5 hectares, primarily produces Chardonnay and Syrah, although smaller volumes of other varieties mean we produce a wide portfolio of 100% estate grown wines.

The Landing’s vineyards form a core part of a 400 hectare world-class coastal destination which also offers luxury accommodation, heritage conservation, ecological restoration and elevated food and wine experiences.

  • Uphold sustainable and regenerative vineyard practices, including SWNZ certification requirements.

  • Monitor vineyard health, inventory and budgets, inventory, machinery and compliance records.

  • Work closely with the winemaker to achieve style, quality and provide viticultural insights that inform winemaking decisions.

  • Coordinate with the on-site workshop team to implement equipment repairs, upgrades, and improvements as necessary.

About You:

  • 5+ years experience in vineyard management or senior viticulture roles.

  • Strong technical viticulture knowledge, ideally in premium wine regions.

  • Team leadership experience, including seasonal workforce management.

  • Proficiency with vineyard machinery and equipment.

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

  • Commitment to sustainability and high-quality wine production.

  • Experience in boutique or small-batch vineyards.

  • Knowledge of Northland growing conditions.

  • Understanding of winery operations and harvest logistics.

  • Passionate about viticulture and premium-quality wine.

  • Hands-on and practical, comfortable working in seasonal conditions.

  • Collaborative, communicative, and aligned with The Landing’s values.

  • High attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.

What We Offer:

  • An opportunity to work in a modern and well-capitalised vineyard and winery operation that is committed to being one of New Zealand’s premium fine wine producers.

  • An excellent and collaborative work environment, with modern facilities and equipment.

  • A vineyard committed to sustainable and regenerative practices across a wide range of grape varieties, located in one of the country’s most breathtaking locations.

  • Supportive leadership and alignment across vineyard, winery, and hospitality teams.
