VITICULTURALIST/ VINEYARD MANAGER

Maude Wines, one of Central Otago’s leading wine producers, is looking for an outstanding hands-on Viticulturalist/Vineyard Manager to join the permanent vineyard team in producing some of New Zealand’s finest wines.

The role includes all aspects of viticulture and vineyard management and operations, staff supervision, irrigation, general vineyard maintenance duties and compliance with SWNZ certification. This role will include managing a total of 20 Ha and will instrumental in the development of a new 11 Ha block in Queensberry, of which 4 Ha will be planted Spring 2025.

The successful applicant will be fit and suited to outdoor work, will preferably have viticulture qualifications from a recognized tertiary college and have at least 3 years’ of vineyard experience, including vineyard staff supervision. In addition, the applicant will hold a current Growsafe certification & a certified handler accreditation. Competence in tractor and machinery operations is key. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
