Pyramid Valley occupies a privileged position amongst New Zealand fine wine producers, having gained a stellar reputation for exceptional Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines over the last two decades.

With the Vineyard at our Waikari Estate in North Canterbury coming into full production, we are looking for additional assistance with our vineyard operations.

This is a full-time, role with a focus on operational and maintenance aspects of plant and machinery on our narrow row, intensively planted, biodynamically farmed vineyard. When not working on the plant and machinery you will be part of our team in the vineyard with a hands-on role.

You will need to love working with small, technically-smart gear on the vineyard and across the estate, and have some good experience at an operational level in agriculture, horticulture or viticulture. Tasks will include, but not limited to, management of all plant and machinery operations and maintenance, operating the Niko tractors for all tasks such as spraying, weeding, trimming, mowing, mulching etc, trellis and vineyard infrastructure maintenance. Holding a current Class 2 heavy traffic licence would be an advantage.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about growing naturally-farmed, exceptionally high-quality grapes and being involved in making some of New Zealand’s greatest wines.
