Permanent Cellar Hand

As a Cellar Hand, you will play a crucial role in supporting the winemaking process by assisting with various tasks in the cellar. You will participate in the smooth operation of the winery’s cellar activities, and cellar culture!  

You will:

• Be involved in all winery operations from fruit receival during harvest, to preparing finished wine for dispatch.

• Be proactive with an excellent work ethic. Maintain high-quality standards and adhere to standard operating procedures.  

• Be able to drive a forklift and operate heavy machinery.  

• Have strong communication skills and be able to work efficiently in a team, as well as independently.  

• Be able to stand, bend and lift for extended periods is essential.  

• Be willing to work extra hours and weekends during the harvest period.  

• Train incoming vintage staff and supervise a team.

Prerequisites:

• At least 2 years previous experience working in a winery or cellar environment is preferred.

• Physically fit. 

• Willingness to work hard, learn and share ideas. 

Benefits: 

• Permanent Full-time position 40 hours per week

• Competitive wages $28 – 32 per hour dependent on previous experience
