As a Cellar Hand, you will play a crucial role in supporting the winemaking process by assisting with various tasks in the cellar. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the winery’s cellar activities, maintenance of equipment, and cellar culture!  

You will:  

• Be involved in all winery operations from fruit receival during harvest, to finished, bottled wine.  
• Be proactive with an excellent work ethic. Maintain high-quality standards and adhere to standard operating procedures.  
• Be able to drive a forklift and operate heavy machinery.  
• Have strong communication skills and be able to work efficiently in a team, as well as independently.  
• Be able to stand, bend and lift for extended periods is essential.  
• Be willing to work extra hours and weekends during the harvest period.  
• Train incoming vintage staff and supervise shifts.   

Qualifications:  

• Previous experience working in a winery or cellar environment is preferred, but not required. 
• Basic knowledge of winemaking principles and cellar operations is advantageous 
• Physically fit. 
• Willingness to work hard, learn and share ideas.
