About Us
We are a family-owned, medium-sized contract winery (4000T process) based in Hawke’s Bay. The winery was established in 2008 and is still owned and operated by the founding family. Our friendly, multi-national production team brings winemaking expertise from around the world. We strongly value diversity and inclusion of both, our fellow Kiwis and our overseas friends.
The Region
Often referred to as “Wine Country,” Hawke’s Bay is New Zealand’s oldest wine region. We are lucky to have sunny days, fertile soils, and a warm climate. If wine-tasting is your thing, the region holds 76 wineries and 38 cellar doors, so the toughest decision you will have to make is where to start. On top of boasting a desirable wine culture, Hawke’s Bay also has a growing culinary scene and hosts many food/wine/music events starting in the summer and carrying through until the end of the harvest season.
The Job
The job commences in February with 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week. Since the start date depends on the nature of the season, we don’t have an exact date now, but we will definitely be in contact with you once you are hired.
The winery operates 24/7 during the peak of harvest season. You can expect to work a 10-12-hour shift, 6-7 days per week, with scheduled days off. Luckily, we have an energetic and optimistic team, and their goal is to make your experience as fun, educational and enjoyable as possible.
We will kick off Vintage 2024 with a welcome BBQ and end the season with a well-deserved party. Harvest Meals and weekly treats are provided during the longer shifts to keep the team energised. We also like to share beers, wines, and laughs once the shift has finished.
If this sounds like something you’re interested in, please apply now!
Only people eligible to work in this country should apply for this position. Please provide evidence of your work visa or citizenship.

- Jobseekers should be aware that the start and finish dates of harvest work employment may change from those suggested by wineries at the time of your job offer. Vintage dates can not accurately be predicted.
It is therefore important that you understand that depending on your employment arrangements with the employer there may be a period of time where you have no work or less work than you were expecting, and should have sufficient financial arrangements in place should this occur. Your actual start and finish dates may vary - if you have queries around this, check with your winery employer before booking airline tickets etc. - For general information about New Zealand, click here or here for two helpful websites.
