Store and Duty Manager - Sales & Service of wine and spirits.

Pembroke Wines & Spirits is Wanaka’s only bottle shop and bar combo, serving the best of NZ and international beverages (directly from our shelves), to our local community and visitors.

We are looking for a hospitality professional to join our small, tight-knit team. Experience in fine wines, craft beer and spirits is essential, as you will be instrumental in helping our patrons find their preferred drop, as well as hosting individual wine/beer/spirit tastings.

Attractive pay/package.

Late nights will become a thing of the past as we close by 9pm at the latest.

The Role:

• Minimum of 30 hours per week to full-time for the right person.
• Weekend work is required
• Staff training & Rostering
• General admin & housekeeping duties
• Stock control - inventory handling and processing (training included)
• Assisting our guests with their purchase selections
• Serving beers, wines, cocktails and platters to our in-house guests & hosting wine tastings
• Assisting with tasting events, planning and service
• Understand and deliver the Pembroke customer experience – One stop shop experience!
• Maintain a well-stocked and presentable merchandised store
• Cash handling and merchandising – POS system handling and computer literacy required
• Compliance with the Sale & Supply of Alcohol Act and adherence to our Host Responsibility Policy   

About you:

• Possession of a current Manager’s Certificate (essential for this position)
