Nockie’s Palette is a small boutique winery based in Queenstown, Central Otago. We are looking for an outgoing person who loves wine, engaging with people, is sales-orientated and understands how to lead a team in providing a high-quality customer experience.

You will ideally have a minimum of 2 years of experience in managing a wine tasting room, restaurant, bar, or other hospitality establishment. 

The position involves being responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the cellar door. You will lead by example, giving professional wine tastings and managing a team whilst being the welcoming face of Nockies Palette. To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Hospitality management and/or Cellar Door management experience 
• Passion for wine                     
• Previous team management experience                              
• Passion for creating outstanding customer experiences                 
• Sales oriented                  
• Excellent communication skills and a ‘can do’ attitude                   
• Ability to work cooperatively and positively, leading people in a team environment         
• Flexible – able to work at weekends and holidays.
• Current Duty Managers Certificate

Desirable: 

• WSET Level 2
