Vintage Team 2024

We have many work opportunities for the right candidates to work vintage with us in 2024.
Come and work for VinLink, one of Marlborough’s largest and most modern wineries at 25,000 tonne capacity, located in the Riverlands - a 10-minute drive from Blenheim CBD.
We are looking for applicants who have a strong safety focus, have a reasonable level of physical fitness and are available to work from late-February/early-March until the end of the grape intake (typically 6 to 8 weeks).
There is the potential to work beyond Vintage, up to the end of June 2024, for the right applicant(s).

Vintage Area Supervisors and Leading Cellar Hands
About the role:
- At least four vintages experience (or two in a large-scale winery) or 1 vintage experience in a large Sauvignon Blanc Batch processing facility.
- Experience operating equipment in at least one of the following areas: grape receival, floatation, RDV/filtration, and fermentation management.
- Formal qualifications in winemaking or a related field are desired but not required.
- You will have solid leadership and training skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Previous experience in a vintage supervisory role would be an advantage.
- Able to work 12-hour days 6 days a week.
- Will require a minimum of 32 hours a week increasing to 74 during our peak harvest time.
- Availability to work either on day or night shift.
- Hourly rate: $28.00 - $32.00 depending on experience on a fixed-term contract.
Vintage Cellar Hands
About the role:
- You will have great verbal communication and a practical roll-up your sleeves attitude.
- Enjoy working both independently and as part of a close team.
- Work well within a team in one of the following areas and able to operate winery machinery
- Grape receival processing
- Continuous and batch floatation
- RDV filtration of juice lees
- General cellar work including additions, transfers, and cleaning.
- Able to work 12-hour days, 6 days a week.
- Will require a minimum of 32 hours a week increasing to 72 during our peak harvest time.
- Availability to work either on day or night shift.
- No experience necessary, just a positive attitude, as all training is provided.
- Hourly rate: $24.00 - $28.00 depending on experience on a fixed term contract.
