About the Role

Are you a wine enthusiast with a passion for the industry? Unsure what’s next for your career? Then why not give our Cadetship Programme a go! This a unique opportunity to try out a career in viticulture and winemaking, find out if it’s for you and earn while you learn some valuable skills. Over the  12-month programme you’ll experience 6 months in the vineyards (we’re talking hands on, roll-your-sleeves-up work out in mother nature, often working with machinery) and 6 months in the winery (in the cellar where the actual wine itself is crushed and produced into the finished product. This program is designed to provide you with a solid foundation in the wine industry, equipping you with the skills and knowledge to pursue a successful and fulfilling career in this dynamic industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Learning how to operate vineyard and winery machinery safely
• Vineyard duties from mowing and leaf plucking to spraying the vines
• Cellar duties from barrel work to wine transfers
• Harvest operations including crushing and pressing
• Contribute to a safety culture by following all safety procedures, ensuring proper PPE, incident reporting

About You:

• Team player with a can-do attitude
• Willingness to learn and try something new
• Mechanical and numerical abilities
• Minimum of current Restricted driver’s license (we’ll teach you how to drive the tractor!)
