Company: Hillersden Winery
Uploaded: 11 November 2022
Closes: 11 December 2022
Hillersden Winery is a family-owned winery in Marlborough. We produce sauvignon blanc and a few other varieties, from our own vineyards and a range of growers. Next year we will process 5000 tonnes (40 000 Hl). This makes us medium-sized on the scale of producers in Marlborough. We are big enough to have the most modern equipment and small enough for all our team to see every stage of production.
We are looking for Cellar Hands to help us turn our grapes into wine during the next vintage period. The core of our team have been working together for several years. To join us you should have some mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with pumps and machinery, but most importantly, you must have an interest in the winemaking process.
All of our team must to be able to work 7 days a week during the harvest period - from mid-March to mid-April. We have eight positions available that range from 5 weeks to 16 weeks duration, from 6 March 2023.
We offer competitive wages ($23 - $30 per hour depending on experience) and transport to the winery, which is located in the Upper Wairau Valley, 45 km from Blenheim.
If you have experience or enthusiasm to contribute to our team, then apply by email to the Winemaker, Craig Anderson: email@example.com
Only people eligible to work in this country should apply for this position. Please provide evidence of your work visa or citizenship.

- Jobseekers should be aware that the start and finish dates of harvest work employment may change from those suggested by wineries at the time of your job offer. Vintage dates can not accurately be predicted.
It is therefore important that you understand that depending on your employment arrangements with the employer there may be a period of time where you have no work or less work than you were expecting, and should have sufficient financial arrangements in place should this occur. Your actual start and finish dates may vary - if you have queries around this, check with your winery employer before booking airline tickets etc.
