Opportunity for Vintage 2023 Cellar Hands
Company: Invivo & Co Ltd
Uploaded: 07 November 2022
Closes: 07 December 2022
Invivo is looking for Vintage Cellar Hands to work at our Te Kauwhata winery. Invivo & Co is the home of multi award-winning brands, including the Graham Norton range and the outstanding Invivo X SJP Sauvignon Blanc. The winery produces Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Rosé, Pinot Gris and Shiraz and is in the town of Te Kauwhata in the northern Waikato. Yes, the Waikato. You'll need to be willing to live here or commute from Hamilton or Auckland.
We have been growing year-on-year since we started in 2008 and are now in need of some extra help during the upcoming vintage to keep up the good work we've all been doing here.
We are offering a vintage cellar role to work harvest in our busy little winery. Potential longer term opportunities may be offered to the right person.
Tasks undertaken include:
- Tank and equipment cleaning
- Fermentation and wine additions
- Juice receivals
- Transfers and blending using pumps
- Red wine fermentation pumpovers and punch downs
- Red wine pressing
- Barrel work
We'd prefer some winery cellar experience, but will take your circumstances into consideration. Student experience applicants welcome to apply, as long as you understand we are working until late-May this year, in case that interfers with your classes.
The applicant should be a careful, good problem-solver, practical and pragmatic, have an eye for detail, a taste for good wine, punctual, nimble-minded and hardworking and all the other good things that make a great Cellar Hand.
Excellent verbal and written communication in English are very important. Hopefully you can drive a forklift too.
If you are interested in finding out more about this opportunity, please submit your application, via the "Apply" button above, and we will be in touch.
Only people eligible to work in this country should apply for this position. Please provide evidence of your work visa or citizenship.
