Pernod Ricard Winemakers New Zealand has a permanent, full-time position available for an experienced Assistant Winemaker. We are seeking a passionate, positive, capable, and self-motivated individual to join our team.
Reporting directly to the Senior Winemaker, this is a hands-on role in a dynamic environment assisting in all aspects of the production process with focused administrative and analytical duties.
Efficiency, attention to detail, problem solving, and strong organizational and communication skills are a must, as well as a passion for wine and producing outcomes of the highest quality.

You will add value to the team through:
Manage the end-to-end process of producing wine
Ensuring the product is delivered on time, in full and to specifications
Ensuring all relevant tasting notes are created in a timely fashion
Maintain a functional link with the Viticulture team

As well as having an impressive blend of entrepreneurial spirit, mutual trust, and ethical commitment, you will also bring:
Tertiary Qualification in Winemaking or bachelor’s in science
Excellent Communication Skills
Previous Winery Experience – 2 years in a medium-to-large winery
Strong Computer Skills
Good palate and appreciation of wine styles and quality
Ability to problem solve and meet tight deadlines
Winemaking in a large format
