Greystone Wines was established in 2004, with the first vines planted in what is now 50 ha of organic vineyard across two properties. Greystone is New Zealand’s first winery to be certified organic, Net Carbon Zero (Toitu accreditation) and practising regenerative viticulture principles.

Our wines speak proudly of our limestone and clay soils, with the innovative Greystone Vineyard Ferment Pinot Noir rapidly gaining recognition as a wine truly of the place it is grown.

This exciting role in the senior management team of Greystone reports to the General Manager. It is responsible for the strategy and delivery of sales across a diverse range of channels, including domestic on and off-trade, cellar door restaurant, growth of DtC and extensive export channels across most continents. The role comes with the opportunity to shape the future of an exciting company while being flexible for the right applicant.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the sales function, including plans, budgets, delivery and reporting.
  • Utilise Greystone’s key attributes to develop opportunities and target growth areas.
  • Manage key relationships in market. This may require some global travel.
  • Lead the marketing function with assistance from external agencies.
  • Liaise with production, commercial and administration personnel to achieve objectives.

Key Attributes:

  • Proven experience in Sales from an established career in wine or related products.
  • Marketing experience and key competencies in online marketing and social media influence and management.
  • Strong skills in business management, including budgeting and reporting, Word, Excel and CRM’s.
  • Excellent communication and team-building skills. The ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, manage small teams, and regularly report on progress.

This is a full-time, permanent position that comes with some flexibility for the right applicant. Hybrid working will be considered.
