Man O’ War Vineyards is a unique premium producer with vineyards on both Waiheke Island and Ponui Island, located in the stunning Hauraki Gulf, a short trip away from downtown Auckland city.
The 2,000 hectare station has 60 hectares of vineyards across 76 separate vineyard sites. The station also runs sheep and cattle, as well as producing olive oil and honey along with various Hospitality and Tourism activities. Our vineyard sites are planted in Cabernet franc, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, and Sauvignon Blanc. Our vineyard work is performed to the highest level of detail and that flows into individual, hand crafted batch fermentation in our winery.
We are currently looking to hire a permanent Vineyard Supervisor to join our small, quality-focused team on a full-time basis. Here at Man O' War we operate our own worker hostel, housing workers from a variety of different countries and backgrounds, some with vineyard experience, but others with just a desire to work in one of the world's most pristine vineyard environments.
The role of Vineyard Supervisor will be to work directly with our casual team to ensure that they are working in a safe and healthy environment and are contributing the most they can to our vineyard operation. Taking direction from the Vineyard Manager, the Vineyard Supervisor will be the type of person who likes to get things done by providing calm and steady guidance to the team. Someone who is considerate, thorough and systems orientated.
We work in an environment where we strive for quality. We recognise, and reward, energy and enthusiasm and we have an ongoing commitment to building skills, knowledge and experience, across our entire vineyard team.
You'll ideally have:
