Babich Wines is an internationally-renowned, family-owned wine company. We have been making wine for over 100 years, producing wines from our vineyards in Auckland, Hawkes Bay and Marlborough.

We utilise various winemaking styles to create a wide range of wines from single vineyard and reserve wines, to larger commercial blends and 100% organic certified wines from our own organic vineyard. These award-winning wines include: Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Rosé, Gruner Veltliner and Albarino.    

We are looking for a Lab Technician to work with us at our Marlborough winery for the vintage period. This will be a fixed-term position starting in mid-February until the end of Vintage 2022, though the role may extend beyond harvest for the right candidate. Applicants will have some prior lab experience, preferably in a medium-sized or large-sized winery.

In the role, you will be primarily involved with performing the major fruit, juice, ferment and wine analyses required during the vintage period. There will also be opportunities to work with more involved and technical analyses, both chemical and microbiological.

We provide a fun, friendly and safe team environment for you to work and learn in. We can assist with accommodation and transport to and from the winery. During 12-hour shifts a hot meal and fresh fruit is provided to keep you energised.
