Located 10 minutes from Cromwell and set against the backdrop of the majestic Pisa mountain range, Amisfield is the largest single estate vineyard in Central Otago.

We recently completed the 5 year process of converting all of our vines to organic viticulture and were named as Organic Vineyard of the Year 2020 as part of that process. Working as part of our permanent team, you will assist with the day-to-day winery cellar operations year round and take on Supervisory duties each year during our vintage period, to help ensure that winemaking runs smoothly and efficiently. This will involve supervising, training and mentoring our vintage crew ensuring they are completing the work set for them, and that they are doing so in a way that ensures their health, safety and wellbeing. We have a fun, positive, caring and collaborative team culture and looking for someone who thrives and shows leadership in such an environment.

In order to do this, you will ideally have experience of atleast 3 previous vintages within reputable wineries, preferably working with Pinot Noir and aromatic whites, as we will be looking for you to contribute to wine assessment through wine blending and addition tastings.

Outside of vintage the work will be 5 days a week, Monday to Friday. When we are in vintage, you can expect to work 6 days per week, with no split shifts.
