As Cloudy Bay Vineyard is increasing in capacity, we would like to employ an additional hands-on Site Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will join another highly-skilled Engineer and together you will provide infrastructure and equipment maintenance across our Blenheim site. You must have served a recognized mechanical apprenticeship to be considered for this role. The Site Engineers will take responsibility of the preventative maintenance of site-wide assets, technical support of our operations and ongoing continuous improvement projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and managing the execution of preventative maintenance systems;
  • Monitoring the performance of operational machinery and making improvements through development projects;
  • Providing breakdown maintenance and technical support as required;
  • Identifying and supporting continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Overseeing the quality of all engineering work onsite, including the safety management of contractors;
  • Managing both R&M and project spending;
  • Promoting a positive safety culture across all departments

In order to succeed in this position, you will have:

  • Ideally fitter and turner or maintenance and diagnostics qualifications;
  • Disconnect / Reconnect License will be advantageous;
  • Pneumatics experience;
  • Previous engineering and maintenance experience in a food or beverage environment;
  • Hands-on experience managing preventative and breakdown maintenance;
  • Proven analytical, multi-tasking and strategy building skills;
  • A strong customer focus with an overall commitment to quality;
  • Experience with the management of skilled trade contractors;
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills;
