Babich Wines is an internationally-renowned, family-owned wine company. We have been making wine for over 100 years, producing wines from our vineyards in Auckland, Hawkes Bay and Marlborough.

We are looking for someone to join our small, friendly and dedicated team at the Marlborough winery as a permanent Cellar Hand. In this role, you will be working with a wide range of wines and varieties running from small-scale boutique to larger-scale commercial blends, using both modern and traditional winemaking techniques.

The position is a hands-on one, involving performing all cellar operations during the year, along with vintage work from grape receival to juice/ferment additions. 

While previous experience is preferred, no experience is required, as training will be provided for all activities in the cellar. There will also be the opportunity for training and experience in our laboratory and vineyards. This is great opportunity for someone looking to begin/develop their career in the wine industry.

Our ideal candidate will be a motivated and hard-working team player, with great attention to detail. Given the nature of the role, a reasonable level of physical fitness is required, as is the ability to work longer hours and weekends during the vintage period.
