Spring Creek Vintners Ltd. is a 12,000t family-owned winemaking facility located in Spring Creek with company vineyards in the Wairau and Awatere Valley, Marlborough. With a state-of-the-art winery, world-class vineyards and a large contract grower supply base, we produce premium wines for some of New Zealand's leading winemakers, as well as our own award-winning Rapaura Springs and Summerhouse brands.
Joining our winemaking team offers the opportunity to work with some of Marlborough's best wine industry professionals and gain exposure to a broad range of techniques and practices in viticulture and winemaking. We believe in working hard, having fun, and are passionate about growing great wine.
We currently have vacancies for the following positions within our winery cellar team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make your mark within the industry.
Senior Cellar Hands/Vintage Supervisors
We are looking for Senior Cellar Hands with a minimum of three vintages’ experience or a Level 7 tertiary qualification in winemaking. We need motivated people with excellent attention to detail, communication and problem-solving skills. Applicants must have experience in a vintage supervisory role. These positions are fixed-term, beginning as soon as possible and finishing at the end of vintage 2022.
Experienced Cellar Hands
We need Cellar Hands to help us make our 2022 wines. We’re looking for applicants with a Level 7 tertiary qualification in winemaking, or a minimum of one vintage’ experience. We are looking for candidates who are team players, with proven practical abilities and good communications skills. A good sense of humour will be highly regarded! These roles will play an essential role in training new staff, with no winemaking experience. These positions are fixed-term, beginning as soon as you are available and finishing at the end of vintage 2022.
We are looking for new team members for our winery laboratory team. Applicants need good attention to detail and the ability to learn on the job. Experience in a laboratory environment and a formal qualification is desired, but not essential.
