Two blocks of work available – Do either or both!
Set against the backdrop of the majestic Pisa mountain range, Amisfield is one of the largest single estate vineyards in Central Otago.
We recently completed the 5 year process of converting all of our vines to organic viticulture and were named as Organic Vineyard of the Year 2020, as part of that process. Our simple philosophy is to nurture nature at every step and our hands-off approach means that our process takes time, with our wines yielding exceptional purity, intensity and vibrancy.
We are looking for seasonal vineyard workers to join our team as follows:
- Start 11th - 18th October 2021
Finish - 17th December 2021
- Start 14th February 2022
Finish end of harvest - mid/late April 2022
From October to December, you will help with bud rubbing, shoot thinning and wire lifting. During harvest it is all about selecting the best grapes so our winemaking team can work their magic with them!
You will need:
- To be currently in New Zealand or have made arrangements to be in New Zealand in time for the start date
- Your own transport for getting to and from work (10 mins drive from Cromwell)
- Good eyesight
- Be fit and healthy
Full training will be given, so don't worry if you haven't worked in a vineyard before.
Work is predominately Monday - Friday, however, there may work on an occasional Saturday if we have weather/rain days.
