Tohu Harvest 2022
Company: Tohu Wines
Uploaded: 07 September 2021
Closes: 07 December 2021
Tohu Wines is the world's first Māori-owned and operated wine label. Since 1998, Tohu has focused on producing estate-grown, single vineyard wines from New Zealand's premier grape-growing regions. The Tohu winemaking philosophy is to create wines that capture the flavours of each region’s unique environment, while upholding respect and protection of the land for future generations.
Based out of our modern winery in the Awatere Valley, Marlborough; we produce a range of cool-climate wines including Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Methode Traditionelle, and Pinot Noir.
We are looking for dedicated and hardworking Vintage Cellar Hands to join our small winery team for vintage 2022, from early-March 2022 to the beginning of May 2022.
To be considered for this position you must have excellent attention to detail, be health and safety focused, and be willing to learn. Previous winery experience with a minimum of one vintage experience would be an advantage, but not essential. Applicants must be physically fit and able to work long shifts. During the peak of vintage you'll be required to work 12 hour shifts.
If successful, you’ll enjoy working with fruit from some great vineyards across Marlborough and New Zealand and will be involved in many, maybe all, aspects of the winemaking process. As part of your package we will help with accommodation, provide meals during your shift, and if needed, provide transport to and from the winery. You’ll be part of a small and dedicated team in the winery, so a positive attitude and a good sense of humour are essential.
All successful applicants will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug and alcohol test in accordance with our drug and alcohol policy.
Due to New Zealand border restrictions you must be currently living in New Zealand to be considered for this position.
To apply please send a cover letter along with your current CV via the button above.
Only people eligible to work in this country should apply for this position. Please provide evidence of your work visa or citizenship.

- Jobseekers should be aware that the start and finish dates of harvest work employment may change from those suggested by wineries at the time of your job offer. Vintage dates can not accurately be predicted.
It is therefore important that you understand that depending on your employment arrangements with the employer there may be a period of time where you have no work or less work than you were expecting, and should have sufficient financial arrangements in place should this occur. Your actual start and finish dates may vary - if you have queries around this, check with your winery employer before booking airline tickets etc.
