About the role

We are looking for a new Cellar Hand to join our winery team. As part of the team you will be working with some great people in one of the country’s most innovative wineries.

The role is a salaried permanent position, and will provide you with a chance to work with a wide range of varietal wines, as well as our alcohol removal technology (for our Giesen 0% alcohol wines). As part of our cellar team your key role in the business will be to safely transform our wine into the world class product our customers know and love.

Reporting to the Cellar Master, this is a hands-on position and will require you to take ownership of a wide range of tasks. Specific areas of responsibility could include tank cleaning, transfers and additions, operating filtration equipment, dispatching finished wine, barrel work, and much more.   

About you

The successful applicants will:

  • Have prior cellar experience, with at least a harvest, ideally 1+years
  • Have a great attitude
  • Be quality-focussed
  • Have excellent organisational skills
  • Have a passion for winemaking and using new technology
  • Have good English speaking and writing skills 
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Be physically fit
  • Understand Health & Safety in the workplace
  • Work well with a wide range of people, be a team player, and a results focus. 
  • You will be dynamic and flexible and ready to embrace change.
