About the business
Ant Moore Wines was created by winemaker Ant Moore over 10 years ago. The wine and its several brands has achieved a good presence internationally, particularly in the US. It has a growing reputation for quality, illustrated by the accolades and market development its achieved. With this strong growth over the last 2 years, taking the business to over 50,000 cases in sales, an investment in a new Commercial Sales Manager is necessary to take this success to the next level.
Part of the strength of Ant Moore Wines is the wider group, owning and operating over 170 hectares of vineyards and a 15,000 tonne winery (Marlborough Vintners), building recognition and substance to the story. Add to this a brewery and cellar door project under construction in the heart of the Marlborough wine region, making it the first venue of this kind in New Zealand.
With a team of winemakers, the winery also produces wine on contract for over 20 different NZ wine companies, so access to resource and connections are strong. The person chosen for the new position will be working alongside some outstanding leaders in the industry.
About the role
Reporting to the CEO, the Commercial Sales Manager will be responsible for the successful leadership, management and growth of the company's entire branded wine business.
The Commercial Sales Manager will develop and implement strategies and plans that drive growth and deliver profitable results for the branded business. The role will analyse key markets, identify growth opportunities, and implement pricing strategies to ensure ongoing commercial success.
The Commercial Sales Manager will build strong relationships with commercial partners and distributors to understand and gain market insights and drivers. They will also be key member of a close-knit senior management team and lead a small team consisting of an international Sales Director and a local Logistics Manager. Travel will be required both nationally and internationally.

Skills and experience
You will be an experienced sales/relationship management professional, who has developed and implemented numerous sales plans and campaigns with a strong track record of success. You will have robust strategic, financial and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Additionally, you will bring a commercial spirit, a creative mind and fresh thinking. Exposure to the beverage industry or FMCG would be beneficial.
You will thrive under a flexible management style and be comfortable managing your own workload. You must be willing to travel. A strong communicator and natural problem solver, you know what it takes to get a job done.
