Winery Vintage Crew 2021
Company: VinLink Marlborough
Uploaded: 11 January 2021
Closes: 11 March 2021
Thinking about vintage 2021 or looking for an exciting new adventure in the wine industry?
VinLink is a large-scale contract winery working primarily with Marlborough’s signature grape, Sauvignon Blanc. We have some cool toys to play with; we have tanks, pumps, hoses, and an array of machines that do cool stuff. We are currently looking for passionate and motivated team players to join us for the 2021 vintage in the following roles:
Vintage Area Supervisors and leading Cellar Hands
We are looking for strong leaders with excellent communication skills and a robust understanding of all cellar operations. We require at least 4 vintages experience (or 2 in a large-scale winery). Previous experience in a vintage supervisory role would be an advantage as you will be involved in training and leading a small team in daily winery operations and Health & Safety.
Vintage Cellar Hands
We also need keen Cellar Hands with a range of experience. We are looking for people with strong self-motivation, as well as good communication and practical skills, who enjoy working both independently and as part of a close team. Vintage experience would be an advantage but if you have not worked vintage before, this is not our first rodeo and we have a great training programme in place, so don’t let inexperience stop you from applying.
Vintage Lab Technicians
We are looking for people with strong communication skills, attention to detail and an ability to multi-task. Previous laboratory experience and/or knowledge of the wine industry would be an advantage.
All applicants will need to be competent in both written and verbal English language, as well as have a reasonable level of physical fitness and be available to work from late February/early March until the end of the grape intake (typically 6 – 8 weeks). Potential to stay beyond this may be available for the right applicant(s). During the peak of vintage, you will need the flexibility to be able to work 12-hour shifts, either day or night. VinLink operates a drug and alcohol policy within our workplace.
If you think you have what it takes and believe your presence and skills can help develop our vintage team into a grape squashing, wine making, conglomerate of excellence, then please do not hesitate to apply.
What do we need from you as well as your CV? A cover letter telling us about you and why you want to work for us would be a great start!
Only people eligible to work in this country should apply for this position. Please provide evidence of your work visa or citizenship.

- Jobseekers should be aware that the start and finish dates of harvest work employment may change from those suggested by wineries at the time of your job offer. Vintage dates can not accurately be predicted.
It is therefore important that you understand that depending on your employment arrangements with the employer there may be a period of time where you have no work or less work than you were expecting, and should have sufficient financial arrangements in place should this occur. Your actual start and finish dates may vary - if you have queries around this, check with your winery employer before booking airline tickets etc.
