Radburnd Cellars was established in 2017, with the single purpose of Kate Radburnd making her very best wine from each vintage without compromise - using the best fruit, the best equipment and the best resources.
We make a single tier of ultra-premium wines in very limited volumes with Kate’s favourite varietals - Chardonnay, Syrah and a Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon Bordeaux blend.
Our strategy is based around a direct-to-consumer model and a hand-sell approach to purveyors of fine wine.
We launched the business in August 2019 with our first Chardonnay from the 2018 vintage. Our 2018 Syrah was launched in July 2020 and our Merlot/Cabernet in September 2020. The market feedback from customers and industry experts has been fantastic. The quality of the wines is exceptional.
You can see more of our story at www.radburndcellars.co.nz and on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
The sales and marketing foundations of the business have been well established. We are now looking to appoint a Sales Manager for the business.
The outcomes expected in the role include:
- Sales goals are achieved at our target levels of volume and margin alongside the ideal customer experience.
- That you will have a clear and documented sales strategy and plan in place to meet our targets and track progress - that feeds into our overall business model.
- Our wines are placed where our ideal customers want to access them.
- Our chosen go-to-market partners understand, support and enhance our story in a commercially-successful partnership.
- We have a commercial and sales presence in chosen international markets that support the goals of the business.
We have a small, passionate and dedicated team, so cultural fit is very important. Everyone rolls up their sleeves and gets the job done at all times, so if you’re interested in this role then please come with that attitude.
Our business is all about providing Kate’s best wines in the ideal customer experience. Every person in the business needs to understand that and be able to deliver it.
You will need a proven track record in domestic and international sales and be able to demonstrate that in the process of applying for this role.

You will be able to create and implement a sales strategy and plan and be willing to execute it to get results.
The successful candidate will need to be commercially savvy and be able to establish and grow successful partnerships with channel/market partners.
