Experienced Cellar Hand - Permanent
Company: VinLink Marlborough
Uploaded: 02 October 2020
Closes: 30 October 2020
Are you physically fit, professional, organised, and passionate about the wine industry and enjoy team environments?
Have you got winery experience but have left the industry and feel like you are getting itchy feet to dive back in, or maybe your current role leaves you feeling like an ashtray on a motorbike? Want a change of environment?
VinLink is a large-scale contract wine facility processing predominantly white wine. We have some cool toys to play with. We have the usual tanks, pumps, and hoses, as well as an array of machines that do cool stuff. We plan to expand our footprint in the future, and some exciting times are ahead for our winery. We are looking at growing our permanent Cellar team with an experienced, professional Cellar Hand.
The successful applicant will have at least 2-3 vintages under their belt working with white wine, preferably at least one in a large winery. Experience in the winery outside of the vintage period, (blending, filtration, dispatching) is definitely an advantage. Supervisory experience is also a plus as this role will involve training and supervision of less experienced workers during vintage.
Other winning attributes we will be looking for are:
- strong communication skills
- a good grasp of the English language
- a positive attitude
- a sense of humour
- a drive to deliver with excellence
- ability to work unsupervised
If you believe you have what it takes, and think your presence and skills can help develop our team into a hulk destroying, grape squashing, wine making, conglomerate of excellence, then please do not hesitate to apply.
What do we need from you as well as your CV? A cover letter telling us about you and why you want to work for us, would be a great start.
Applications close Friday 30th October 2020, so don’t think about it too long!
Only people eligible to work in this country should apply for this position. Please provide evidence of your work visa or citizenship.
