Central Otago

Apply Now

Company: Amisfield LP

Uploaded: 10 September 2020

Closes: 10 October 2020

Located just 10 minutes from Cromwell and set against a backdrop of the majestic Pisa mountain range, Amisfield is the largest single estate vineyard in Central Otago. On the journey to organic certification, our philosophy is to nurture nature at every step and yield wines with exceptional purity, intensity and vibrancy.

As testimony to our hard work, we were recently honoured with the accolade ‘2020 Organic Winery of the Year’ at the New Zealand Organic Wine Awards.

Working in our dedicated Vineyard team, you will be doing a variety of jobs including pruning, bud/bunch thinning, vine training, picking grapes, planting, cultivating, weeding and netting.  The work is predominately Monday - Friday, however there will be weekend work (both Saturday and Sunday) required at certain key times of the year, such as harvest.

You will need:

  • Good eyesight
  • To be fit and healthy - it is a physical job and you will be working outdoors during the winter
  • A positive, friendly attitude
  • Your own transport for getting to and from work (10 mins drive from Cromwell)
  • To be available to work 30-40 hours a week (exc weather days)

While experience would be helpful, we provide all of our team with full training and tools so don't worry if you haven't worked in a vineyard before. You will need to ensure you have appropriate clothing for the environment (you will need thermals in winter and a sunhat in summer!)

If you would like to be a part of our friendly, dedicated team, please apply here with your CV and contact details - we look forward to having you join us!

Please note that due to current travel restrictions we can only accept applicants who are a NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident or those that are currently in New Zealand with a work visa.

Only people eligible to work in this country should apply for this position. Please provide evidence of your work visa or citizenship.
