Awatere River Wines is located in Marlborough’s Awatere Valley producing premium Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Methode sparkling wine from our vineyards.
Awatere River Wines of Marlborough is part of Booster Wine Group which is a collection of NZ wineries including Waimea Estates of Nelson, Bannock Brae Estate of Central Otago, and Sileni Wines of Hawkes Bay. Booster, through its Booster Tahi investment arm, is making significant investments in New Zealand’s agricultural business including avocados, kiwi fruit, and through investments in the wine industry. It is here at Awatere River Wines where a dynamic, reliable team player is required to join our Marlborough-based winery as a Cellar Hand.
We are looking for a passionate, capable, hardworking Cellar Hand to join our team.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person with some previous cellar experience and a desire to learn. Applicants will require sound attention to detail, strong interpersonal and team skills, motivation, initiative, and the stamina required to be effective in a busy environment. You will assist with supervising seasonal staff at vintage.
This is a hands-on role in a busy winery. You should understand cellar operations, cellar hygiene, Health and Safety requirements, wine quality and food safety considerations, be able to complete tasks on time to a high standard and have good written and verbal communication skills. This is a role that will grow as the company does.
