Thomas Family Wines was established in 2004 with the purchase of the 165ha block of land that makes up the Greystone vineyard in Omihi. 32ha of land was planted with premium grape varietals, and then in 2011 the neighboring vineyard, Muddy Water, was purchased.
Muddy Water is the location of the winery facility and bottling plant that has the capacity to produce 25,000 cases a year. Greystone has won numerous accolades for its wine, including two Air New Zealand Trophies and Decanter Magazine’s award for Best Pinot Noir, twice.
The company has an excellent team culture and recently has attracted attention with the innovative Vineyard Ferment Pinot Noir. Both vineyards and the winery have full organic certification.
Greystone Wines are seeking a highly-organised, customer-focused individual to manage the company’s bottling operation, warehouse, drygoods management and dispatch. The business is experiencing rapid growth and this position will be involved in the development of new systems, processes and the possible development of an additional warehouse.
The applicant needs a proven track record in a manufacturing environment, logistics and production management, ideally in wine or a similar product. The role is very customer focused while also being able to meet the administration and compliance requirements of the food and beverage sector.
