Nanny Goat Vineyard is a successful Central Otago wine producer based in the picturesque Queensberry Sub Region, just a short 15-minute drive from Wanaka or 20 minutes from Cromwell. We are known for producing world-class Pinot Noir.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Cellar Door Manager to join the Nanny Goat team on a permanent basis for 32 hours per week.

The Assistant Cellar Door Manager position is a crucial component of the future growth of the Nanny Goat Vineyard Cellar Door. Guided by the Cellar Door Manager, the Assistant Cellar Door Manager will be responsible for a variety of assigned tasks and duties required to deliver an exceptional visitor experience.

Duties include:

  • Facilitate the delivery of onsite experiences with the view to drive visitation. This includes functions (corporate and private) weddings, group bookings, targeted corporate events, consumer experiences and general onsite events.
  • Provide simple visitor meals as required by the cellar door manager. Training to be provided for any menu changes.
  • Provide support and maintenance to cellar door and amenities ensuring a high standard presentation. Areas include kitchen, bathroom, car park tidying, simple gardening duties.
  • Facilitate re-stock of products at close of business. Ensure that all stock keeping records are up to date and processed.
  • Adhere to the food safety plan to ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Support Cellar Door Manager in executing visitor experiences during trading hours, included but not limited to, those within the cellar door and vineyard.

Your skills and experience:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with medium supervision in a systematic and planned manner.
  • A passion for wine & hospitality experiences. 
  • Prior experience in a customer-oriented industry preferred, e.g. events, tourism, hospitality, wine or travel.
  • Proven track record as a team player.
