Waiheke Wine Limited is a company providing viticultural and winemaking services to three prestigious vineyards based on Waiheke Island, with a total planted area of 20ha.

Waiheke Island is one of New Zealand’s most exciting wine appellations. We follow sustainable winegrowing practises in all of our vineyards. We are passionate about producing premium wines that are expressive of the site upon which they are grown. Our vineyards are dry-farmed due to the iron-rich clay soils and climate. We grow quality Chardonnay, Viognier, Marsanne, Pinot Gris, Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Montepulciano and Tempranillo.

We are seeking to employ a Vineyard Manager to manage and maintain our vineyards, who takes pride in producing high-quality fruit.

It is a diverse role, and one of great opportunity.

 You must have:

  • A viticulture/horticulture degree
  • A minimum of 3 years viticulture experience
  • An ability to self-manage and work autonomously
  • Proficiency in operating all vineyard machinery
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills, and an aptitude for record keeping
  • Advanced communication skills
  • Experience in co-ordinating and managing staff and contractors

 We will provide you:

  • The opportunity to work within a dynamic team who are passionate about wine
  • The opportunity to manage unique and premium-focused vineyards
  • A competitive salary with additional benefits, including a vehicle
  • Help with temporary accommodation on the island, if required
  • Career progression and personal development

Please send your covering letter and a detailed résumé to the General Manager, via the ‘apply’ button above.

Applications close at 11pm on the 19th May 2024.

Only people eligible to work in this country should apply for this position. Please provide evidence of your work visa or citizenship.
