Joining iconic Margaret River producer Voyager Estate, the new Head Viticulturist will be part of the leadership team for one of Australia’s foremost organic wine producers. This is a once in a career opportunity to build a legacy, setting industry benchmarks for quality, sustainable viticulture and land management. 

The Voyager Estate vineyard is part of a dynamic agribusiness, incorporating holistic farming practices to sustain the quality and purity of the site. The Head Viticulturist will manage the 102 Ha organically-certified vineyard, advancing sustainability objectives and driving wine quality through innovation and continual improvement strategies. Reporting to the Chief Winemaker, this is a role for a hands-on leader that will be responsible for all vineyard operations, including financials, viticultural plans and staff. 

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in viticulture, applied science, agriculture science or equivalent discipline 
• At least 10 years relevant experience in high-end viticulture and vineyard management
• Experience with sustainable and/or organic farming practices preferred 
• Extensive technical knowledge and agribusiness management experience
• Experience in change management and business development
• Strong leadership skills and management strategies
• Business and financial acumen 
• Inquisitive and a proactive problem-solver
• Highly developed organisation and communication skills 
• Capacity for light domestic travel
• Valid driver’s licence
