Jackson Estate is an award-winning premium Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc wine maker, along with other white wine varietals. 

Jackson Estate is entering into an exciting new era with the establishment of a new Pinot Noir specific winery which has come about following growth, and the confidence we have in the wine and tourism sector.

Jackson Estate operates three vineyards covering 70 hectares in the Wairau/Waihopi valleys of the world-renowned Marlborough wine-making region. Our range of viticulture machinery is extensive, and allows effective performance of our vineyards. 

We are looking for an experienced Head Viticulturist to join our team, in what is a dynamic and exciting role within a Winery that is consistently growing in success. The main focus of this role is the production of high quality fruit from our vineyards, with a strong focus on Pinot Noir.  

To be successful in this role you will have:

A relevant Viticulture qualification, and a minimum of 5 years experience as a Viticulturist, including:

  • Vineyard budgets and reporting
  • Managing and scheduling for permanent and seasonal staff
  • Accurate crop assessments
  • Frost protection management
  • Vineyard machinery operation
  • Vineyard development and irrigation management
  • Harvest management
  • Viticulture-winemaking
  • Health and Safety
