When they're not connecting wine employers and jobseekers, their company Battersby HR Consulting provides human resources consultancy to small and medium sized businesses.

has over 18 years hands-on experience in HR management, as well as a broad understanding of business from a wide range of industries. Paddy is experienced in all sectors of the wine industry, from the vineyard to the winery, distribution through to retail, and has a Diploma in Business (Human Resources Management and Employment Relations) from the University of Auckland.

Heather Battersby's life in wine began by accident more than 20 years ago in South Australia on a working holiday which included a time as Max Schubert's Secretary. Since then she's worked with Penfolds Wines in New Zealand - where she met future husband Paddy - and for 11 years was Jim Delegat's personal assistant.
Heather has seen first hand New Zealand's wine industry grow from 170 licensed winemakers to over 600. Her knowledge and expertise gained from years of experience is extensive and covers most areas of the industry.
As well as running winejobsonline.com, Heather is a freelance PA and functions co-ordinator offering a personal and professional service to select clients. She is available to work with companies on a contract basis for special projects and functions, or just when another pair of hands is required in busy times.
As well as the successful www.winejobsonline.com website service, Paddy and Heather launched www.LIQUORJOBS.co.nz in June 2006 to provide an employment service especially for the rest of the New Zealand liquor industry - beer, wine, spirits - sales, admin, marketing, retail, brewing.....
